I spend most of my time thinking about beautiful homes in the Hamptons, but every once in a while, a piece of real estate comes along that makes me stop in my tracks—something so special, so steeped in history that I have to share it.

This month, we're taking a break from the beach and heading across the Atlantic to the Lake District in England, where Rydal Mount, the final home of poet William Wordsworth, is now on the market for £2.5 million.

I can't help but imagine what it would be like to live here, surrounded by rolling hills and centuries of literary history—then returning to the Hamptons for a change of pace, trading daffodils and stone paths for ocean breezes and sandy toes. It's the best of both worlds: the poetic serenity of England's Lake District and the relaxed luxury of coastal New York.

Until recently, fans of William Wordsworth could visit his final home, Rydal Mount and Gardens, nestled in the heart of England's green and beautiful Lake District. Renowned as one of the most prominent British poets, Wordsworth (1770–1850) authored what is widely regarded as the most famous poem in the English language: I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud, inspired by the golden daffodils of the region. Just next to the house is Dora's Field, where the poet is believed to have planted 1,847 daffodils in memory of his daughter Dora, who died at the age of 42. Those daffodils still bloom every spring—a living tribute to poetry, memory, and enduring beauty.

If you're a lover of literature, history, and true craftsmanship, this is one of those rare finds that won't come around again. Let's be honest—owning a piece of William Wordsworth's legacy? That's something pretty extraordinary.

Meanwhile, I will be continuing to enjoy the daffodils of the Hamptons.

Happy Spring!
